An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Qualified or Part-Qualified Accountant to join our team at our busy Grimsby office.

We are looking for someone who is AAT Qualified or to at least Part-Qualified to AAT Level 4.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and running of our Accounts and Finance Department.

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking with the ability to work under their own initiative as well as working well with others in a team.

Their main duties will include:

  • Reconciliation of the Firms main control accounts including bank, purchase and sales ledgers accounts.
  • Reconciliation of all client’s monies and client accounts on a timely basis. Undertaking regular physical cash checks and reconciliations.
  • Preparation of the Firms VAT Returns and other statutory filing obligations.
  • Ensuring all information is collated and ready for the preparation of the quarterly management accounts by the external accountants and liaising with them as required.
  • Experience in using the Sage Accounts Module is essential for this role.

In addition, the successful candidate will also be responsible for least one other member of staff therefore experience in the management of others be would be preferable.

Previous experience in the Estate Agency Sector is beneficial but if not, training will be given.

Inspection Administrator

This is a full time position working 37.5hours per week Monday to Friday working from our Grimsby office.  You will be expected to work some Saturdays on a rota basis. 

You will be responsible for routine inspections at our rented properties to ensure the Tenant is complying with their Tenancy Agreement.  If at these inspections it transpires the Tenant is not keeping the property in good order, you will be required to advise them of these issues and to revisit them at a later date to ensure these problems have been resolved.

A Tenant may inform you of problems which need attending to at the property inspection and you will liaise with the Landlord to seek authorisation to carry out any necessary repairs the Tenant has requested. You will organise Contractors to obtain quotes to have the authorised work carried out.  This will mean writing e-mails and letters in a professional format so a good knowledge of the English language as well as excellent keyboard skills is imperative. 

Training will also be given on checking Tenants in and out of properties.

Full clean driving license and use of your own vehicle insured for business use is a necessity.

Lettings Administrator

We require an Administration Assistant to work in our busy Lettings Department. 

You will have an excellent telephone manner and the ability to solve problems. 

The job entails making appointments, arranging tenancies, including all documentation, inputting property details onto our website, speaking face to face with new tenants and talking them through the tenancy agreement in readiness for them to sign the legal documents, reception duties and any other tasks considered to be in your capabilities.

The position will be full time 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday and alternate Saturdays.

Maintenance Administrator

Full-Time Repair and Maintenance Administrator required Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. The role will involve taking telephone calls from Tenants who have repair issues with their properties, liaising with other members of staff who have visited rental properties to discuss and organise any works required and to book these jobs into our Contractor’s diaries. 

The repairs could be anything from a dripping tap to a major leak.

You will be expected to decide if a Contractor should be instructed to attend the property, as well as speaking with the Landlord to seek permission.

Basic maintenance knowledge and a practical disposition are crucial for this position.

You will be office based and need to have good keyboard and computer skills, along with the ability to deal with customers in a friendly manner.

The benefits of working for the Company are a competitive salary, a pension scheme and a Health scheme.  Holidays are 28 days per year including bank holidays.  For every three years of service, you will receive an additional holiday day up to a maximum of 33 days.
