Everything you need to know about our auction service

We’re well known as an estate agent, but selling your home isn’t all we specialise in. Jackson Green & Preston has operated an established auction house since 1924, dealing in all types of antiques, collectables, furniture and household items.

Our auction house is located at 41-45 Duncombe Street in Grimsby, just off Freeman Street. We accept and value items from anyone locally, offering a highly competitive commission rate of just 16.5% + VAT, with a buyer’s premium of 20% + VAT.

As part of this service, we also offer both full and part house clearances, and furniture collections. Working alongside our professional partners, we can take care of everything for you, like we did for our client Paul Robinson. “They came out to advise what to put in the auction, arranged collection and on auction day rang to let us know how we had done and what the process was regarding payment. Our auction takes place from 10.30am on the last Friday of each month, with viewing available between 2.30pm and 7pm the Thursday before.
